How does schematic review differ from PCB layout?

Schematic review checks design risks in power circuits, component connections, MCU pin assignments and communication interfaces. PCB layout turns the circuit into component placement and routing on a physical board and prepares manufacturing files. We clarify whether you need review only, circuit changes or PCB layout as well.

Which files are needed for a quotation?

Share a schematic PDF, available schematic and PCB source files, board dimensions, layer count, key components and requirements. If source files are unavailable or use another design tool, we first check whether the materials can be opened or converted and what additional work is needed. Include your target schedule and required deliverables.

Are Gerber, BOM and editable design files provided?

The PCB layout service includes Gerber output, BOM preparation and ordering files. The proposal defines the handover scope and formats for editable schematic and PCB files, libraries and any additional fabrication or assembly files. A review-only engagement has its own deliverables, such as review findings and recommended changes.

Are fabrication, component purchasing and physical testing included?

Preparing ordering files is separate from PCB fabrication, component purchasing and assembly. If prototypes or physical testing are needed, we separately agree quantities, test items, equipment and costs. Design review or passing ERC and DRC alone does not guarantee physical operation or certification.
